Our book 'Everything Transaction' (Alles Transactie), co-written by Shikko Nijland, Douwe Lycklama and Chiel Liezenberg is on the shortlist of leading Dutch online bookshop ‘Managementboek’. Only five books have been nominated for this list and one of them will be selected on April 18th as Best Managementbook 2019!
‘Everything Transaction’ addresses themes such as transaction platforms, digital trust and data sharing. The writers aim to support leaders to better navigate the digital world, based on the vision that trust and cooperation between companies are the key to a sustainable solution for digital transactions in the future.
Issues surrounding data, privacy and platforms have an increasing impact on both business and society. How do we maintain control over the massive increase in data and transactions? And how do we organize trust in a world in which safety and privacy are no longer self-evident? The book 'Everything Transaction' answers these questions from the perspective that everything is a transaction. The writers distinguish technology driven hypes from reality. Think blockchain, big data, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, augmented reality or biometrics. The book also calls for leaders to start working together on the future of digital transactions today.
The authors are experienced fintech pioneers. Nijland is the CEO and managing partner of INNOPAY, which was founded by Lycklama and Liezenberg 15 years ago. In their capacities at INNOPAY the authors bring different parties together, with the aim to come up with sustainable solutions to point the exponential growth of digital transactions in the right direction. "Certainly in Europe, there is an opportunity to adjust market conditions to enable end users to achieve a higher degree of digital self-determination," said Shikko Nijland. "In that scenario, user data remains at the source, the users, who have full transparency and control over who gains access."
