INNOPAY is co-hosting the Data Sharing Days 2020 in the Hague, the Netherlands

We are pleased to announce that INNOPAY will be co-hosting the Data Sharing Days 2020, Europe’s premier data sharing event that is taking place from 27-28 January 2020 in The Hague, the Netherlands. The conference will revolve around the theme “Using data sovereignty to create value”, which fits into our strategy to guide organisations worldwide to fully embrace the opportunities of the era of digital transactions.
Data sovereignty should be the central design principle of the data economy; an economy in which everyone – organisations and consumers alike – will have control over their data and thrive from all the benefits that sharing data entails. This is a challenge which policymakers and organisations must address now.
Smart organisations realise the potential of data and look for ways to create value. At the same time, people’s awareness is growing that they want to play a central role in all this: After all, isn’t it their data? Shouldn’t the “data benefit balance” tip in their direction?
The Data Sharing Days will bring its participants together to actively take part in the discussion about data sharing in industry, research and governmental environments. This global platform is the place to meet with interesting experts, speakers and industry partners that share the curiosity and passion for new ideas, innovation and emerging trends.
Among the growing list of keynote speakers is Ruben Verborgh, Professor of Semantic Web Technology at the University of Ghent. He works on Solid, a new ecosystem started by Web Inventor Tim Berners-Lee. He will speak about ‘reshaping the web with linked data apps’. Susan Morrow, a prominent member of the Women in Identity Community will elaborate on what needs to happen in the digital identity landscape in order to achieve data sovereignty. Paul Ham, General Manager Business Development Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam will present a new data service that allows better planning in the logistical chain.
“We are excited and pleased that so many influential leaders from the data sharing domain have already committed to speak and share their expertise at DSD2020. Their experience and leadership will allow for critical and insightful discussions” commented Mariane ter Veen, Director Data Sharing at INNOPAY.
