What is your educational/work background?

I followed my BSc in Communication Science, including a minor in Economics, with an MSc in Neuroeconomics at the University of Amsterdam. During my studies I did an internship within the growth department at Zapp, which at that time was the second-fastest growing European tech company based on headcount. Alongside that, I helped to establish a non-profit organisation aimed at feeding people who were severely affected by the hard lockdown in South Africa during the coronavirus pandemic.

What made you choose to work for INNOPAY?

I was attracted to INNOPAY by the ability to work on high-impact projects, together with a group of bright and ambitious individuals that embody forward thinking and collaboration. INNOPAY also facilitates an environment which allows you to continuously grow as a person, both in terms of hard and soft skills.

What do you think is the future of digital transactions?

The number of digital transactions is already growing rapidly and we can expect to see an exponential increase in the foreseeable future. This is being further accelerated in the post-pandemic age, when more and more companies are moving towards the option of working from home as well as remote working. This paradigm shift will likely cause not just an increase in digital payments, but also in transactions involving digital identity due to the increase in demand driven by the need for digital interactions.

What do you like most about strategic consulting?

The high-paced environment combined with the steep learning curve of strategic consulting allows me to consistently learn and grow as a person. I love being constantly challenged and intellectually stimulated on a day-to-day basis. This work fits well with my solutions-oriented and collaborative persona.
