The European Data Strategy mentions nine key domains in which data spaces should be created. The strategy also describes the availability of large pools of data, an infrastructure for using and exchanging data and an appropriate governance mechanism as being key. This framework and the concept of data spaces is based on the groundwork done by the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) and its 120-plus members, of which INNOPAY is one. IDSA is striving for open, federated data ecosystems and marketplaces ensuring data sovereignty for the creator of the data.
In the session on 29 October, the Data Spaces Dialogue will involve Matthijs Punter and Frans van Ette from TNO discussing data sovereignty.
