Forum Europe to hold debate on data sovereignty
Forum Europe is organising a debate about data sovereignty, called ‘Europe in the Digital Age’, on 14 January. INNOPAY’s Mariane ter Veen will be one of the participants in the debate, which will address strategic autonomy and how the EU and its Member States are approaching technology sovereignty development.
One of the issues discussed during the debate will be data ownership and how and where data is used and held. Other topics will include consideration of new, sustainable business models that are constructed around privacy by design, data sovereignty and data innovation, and the potential roles for European and international businesses, investors, regulators and civil society in determining the path for Europe’s digital future.
