What is your educational/work background?
I recently finished my Bachelor of Industrial Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology with a focus on Economics, Business and Data Analytics. Next year I will start my Master’s in Data Science and Entrepreneurship at the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science. Besides my work at INNOPAY, I am building a startup called Fundle. It is a platform where businesses can build tokenised communities to increase customer engagement.
What made you choose to work for INNOPAY?
I have always had a strong affinity with IT and innovation. The values and entrepreneurial mindset INNOPAY stands for are very well aligned with my own vision and ideas. I think it is a place with ambitious and talented people where I can develop myself quickly and strengthen my knowledge of the IT and consultancy world. I especially like the way INNOPAY uses innovative technologies. When entering the office, there is a very warm atmosphere that feels open and welcoming. With my technical background, I see myself as a good fit and useful addition to the INNOPAY team.
What do you think is the future of digital transactions?
In the last 20 years, we have made the transition from cash payments to digital transactions. In the future, I think we will move towards a world where everything is connected and where people perform many digital interactions every day. I believe in the added value of blockchain and the transition towards digital economies. I think that this technology will form the core of how we exchange data with each other. It can make processes more efficient, more transparent and less costly. Furthermore, it creates opportunities for new business models and interactions between people.
What do you like most about strategic consulting?
I am most interested in solving complex challenges and developing strategies – brainstorming about new opportunities or business models and truly making an impact. I want to assist and advise others by sharing my knowledge. I really like the combination of disruptive technologies and consulting, while bridging the gaps with business and IT. So I am really looking forward to working for clients and building the future of payments together!
