Hi Vincent,
What is your educational/work background?
I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s in Strategic Management from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. During my master’s, I did a finance & strategy internship at Randstad which helped me to gain some professional experience. Alongside my studies, I spent a lot of time doing volunteer work for charities and to support student wellbeing. I have been working full-time at INNOPAY since the end of August 2024.
What made you choose to work for INNOPAY?
I chose to work for INNOPAY because the company’s focus on impactful projects aligns with my personal interests. I was particularly drawn by its involvement in initiatives like iDEAL, iDIN and OVpay, which have been transformative in the digital payments landscape. Being part of a company that is at the forefront of such innovative solutions excites me, as I believe these projects not only enhance the user experience, but also contribute to the broader evolution of digital transactions. Additionally, INNOPAY’s company culture and close collaboration with Oliver Wyman provides an environment where it is possible for me to work on my own development while contributing meaningfully to a diverse range of impactful projects.
What do you think is the future of digital transactions?
I think that the future of digital transactions is going to be significantly shaped by the principles of open finance. This approach promotes greater transparency and accessibility in financial services, allowing consumers to have more control over their financial data. I expect to see increased collaboration between traditional financial institutions and fintech companies, leading to innovative solutions that will enhance the user transaction experience. Additionally, as regulatory frameworks evolve to support open finance, they will help to ensure consumer protection while fostering competition and innovation in the digital marketplace. Overall, the shift towards open finance will empower consumers’ data ownership and drive the next wave of transformation in digital transactions.
What do you like most about strategic consulting?
I particularly like having the opportunity to tackle complex challenges in a team environment. I find it rewarding to contribute to solutions that not only enhance a clients business performance, but also have a positive impact on the financial ecosystem. What I like most in INNOPAY’s specific industry is to influence how transactions are conducted – making them more efficient, more accessible and more secure.
