The Dutch government is about to create a new market for nationwide e-identity services. In order to support decisionmaking, Innopay is analyzing this market by creating models that simulate the new situation. With this model we are able to predict the effects of pricing models, market growth and policy decisions within the market.

Research on new network models for nationwide e-identity

In a joint assignment of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Innopay analysed the governmental e-identity system DigiD. By developing a new perspective on e-identity services, based on the two-sided network characteristics, we created a new paradigm for solving certain issues that prevented the system to develop further. The introduction of the scheme concept in combination with a 4-party model has layed the foundation for a new approach. Currently the Dutch government is developing a scheme for Government-to-Business authentication services, based on this new paradigm.

Development of Dutch online payment scheme in 3 months

For a group of major Dutch banks Innopay helped to create an e-payment scheme based on on-line banking. After three months of standards development all players developed their issuing and acquiring solution. This national service went live 12 months after conception and has become now the major e-payment method in The Netherlands.

Development of business case for online escrow service

For a major international financial institution, Innopay prepared a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative business case for an online escrow service. The assignment involved market analysis, product design and quantitative modeling.

Market research database for international wholesale bank

For a large international wholesale bank Innopay performed comprehensive Europe wide market and competitor research in the area of online banking and electronic payments. The results were collated by Innopay’s network of researchers across Europe and qualified through Innopay’s proprietary market research methodology.

Development and management of Dutch e-invoicing standard

For a group of major Dutch banks Innopay facilitated the development of an e-invoicing standard for presentment of invoices in the on-line banking channel. Currently all parties are implementing this in their on-line banking platform and billers are preparing for launch in 2009.

Business architecture for online payments in SEPA

For a large European wide association of financial institutions Innopay has created the high level descriptions of European wide online payment and E-Mandate systems. The descriptions have been reviewed by appropriate representatives from financial institutions across Europe and are fully compliant with new / planned SEPA instruments.

E-business strategy for a large international bank

For the e-business unit within the wholesale division of a large international bank Innopay facilitated the creation of a multi-year departmental strategy. The complete and comprehensive strategy process covered everything from the creation of a vision and mission for the unit to a detailed step by step implementation plan for execution of the strategy. The strategy was approved shortly after creation, budget has been allocated and implementation is scheduled to commence shortly.

Card acquiring strategy for a large international bank

For a large international bank Innopay project managed and facilitated the creation of a domestic debit card acquiring strategy and laid the foundations for the creation of a wider European wide Cards and Cash strategy. The assignment involved the facilitation of competing requirements from the wholesale and retail divisions of the bank and the facilitation of the extraction, normalization and interpretation of complex financial data to determine product and large client level profitability.

Payment Service Provider selection for international merchant

On-line sales has been established for several years now with major players in the field of e-commerce. Many merchants are now in the phase of fine-tuning and re-alignment of their on-line processes. Therefore Innopay provided payments expertise for the selection of payment services for: a manufacturer of navigation systems, the holding company of Holland’s #1 retail clothing chain and a university. Through Innopay’s assistance these clients have been able to enhance their global reach, achieve substantial cost savings and improve processes.
