A day at Innopay

‘Innopay constantly challenges me’
Innopay is a niche player with expert authority, what makes us involved in some of the key initiatives in Europe. Operating at the interface of business and IT, Innopay holds a unique position. Our work goes from ‘powerpoint to production’: we cover strategy and business models to project management and product development. As a Business Analyst I enjoy both freedom and responsibility. Although I am part of multiple project teams, I also have assignments that I do fully independently and bare full responsibility.

I started supporting seniors with doing research, preparing presentations and interviewing. Very soon I was writing proposals, talking to clients, responsible for projects and deliverables, attending conferences and also have been presenting there myself. And right from the start I been involved in great projects. For example, soon after I joined Innopay I was involved in the strategy and operating model for a global top-5 Consumer Electronics firm on their internet@TV platform and in a corporate payments requirements analysis for a global top-5 Online Travel firm. Innopay constantly challenges me to discover new areas.

‘Innopay is one of the very few companies that help shape the industry ’
Innopay is one the very few creative companies that help shape the industry. We are a small and tightly integrated team of professionals sharing a passion for innovations. Every day we are working hard on developing ideas that really change the way e-commerce and e-business in general is working.

I started within Innopay as consultant specialized in corporate payments and channels. My ambition was to move into product innovation: the development of new products and services that changes the way we do e-commerce and e-business. In the past years I have developed myself as a product development and innovation specialist. In this role, I have the opportunity to combine my knowledge of payments and e-invoicing with my passion for new product development to develop new ideas, and support the creation of new innovative services.

Payment services typically operate in two-sided markets. The complexities of designing networked services in two-sided markets go far beyond multi-stakeholder involvement. It requires a broad set of skills and cutting-edge design to develop successful services in a networked way. Thinking about designing network effects is such an example. It is this environment that challenges me every day to learn new things and to contribute to the industry.

It is my ambition is to see Innopay grow to sustain a presence on multiple continents’
For me working at Innopay means really being able to focus on a number of very interesting professional subjects, like e-payments, cyber security and e-identity. I have been interested in these subjects and especially their non-technical aspects, since the start of my professional career in 1999. This work really fits with my desire to build bridges between the IT side and the business side of client organisations. As a consultant I get the opportunity to work in multi-stakeholder projects, projects for individual clients as well as internal projects to expand our combined knowledge base or develop prototypes that might later be turned into full-fledged e-payment products. It is my ambition is to see Innopay grow to sustain a presence on multiple continents and I really hope to be able to be a part of such an international team.
